EU to fund Greeco-Bulgarian sericulture & silk program

A local silk and sericulture program between Bulgaria and Greece will be funded by the European Union.
Under the INTERREG III-PHARE CBC Greece-Bulgaria, the Municipality of Soufli and the Association for the Regional Cooperation and Development (Haskovo, Bulgaria) will come together and conduct several promotional activities begining with a one-day public conference at Soufli on September 5.
All issues related to silk and sericulture will be covered at the conference.
Traditional sericulture methods from Bulgaria and a presentation on Sericulture Research Institute Harmanli, Bulgaria, including the advancements in the Bulgarian sericulture and silk industry will be explained.
