The Apparel Training and Design Centre in Hyderabad, the training wing of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), in collaboration with US apparel firm GAP Inc is offering a merit-based freeship for women students who want to pursue a one-year course on apparel manufacturing or fashion design technology, ATDC director Ravi Kishore said recently.

Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) of the ministry of rural development, ATDC is offering free residential training for students who have passed their intermediate examination in any stream. The eight-month course is named ‘industrial engineer executive’ and will be conducted at ATDC, he added. (DS)
