PX, ethylene & MEG prices skid, PSF stable

Paraxylene price declined sharply in Asian market and stood around US$ 1550/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1555/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1550/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to US$ 1550/ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price went down by US$ 20/ton, to US$ 1260/ton. In Chinese market, PTA trading price hovered around RMB 9550/ton, but offer price hovered in between RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9650/ton. In Asian market, PTA price remained range bound in between US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton.

Ethylene price remained firm around US$ 1215/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 1005/ton to € 1015/ton, in goods imported was in between US$1415/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In U.S.A market selling offers for Ethylene was in the range of 63.35 cents/pound to 63.85 cents/pound.

MEG price declined sharply in S E Asian region. Price hovered mainly in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG increased to around US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1250/ton and in domestic Chinese market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9700/ton.

BGPET Chips price remained stable in S E Asian region in tandem with feedstock prices and was assessed between US$ 1670/ton to US$ 1680/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1680/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12600/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable around US$ 1610/ton to US$ 1620/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1600/ton to US$ 1610/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12650/ton to RMB 12750/ton.

PSF price remained stable, in N E Asian market; offers hovered in the range of US$ 1895/ton to US$ 1905/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1905/ton. In Chinese domestic market PSF offers were at RMB 13050/ton.

Polyester yarn prices in Chinese domestic market were stable. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 14300/ton and RMB 14350/ton. Selling offers for DTY were stable around RMB 16050/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were respectively at US$ 1940/ton, 1910/ton and US$ 2175/ton.
