USA-ITA joins Govt officials at Sourcing during MAGIC

The United States Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel (USA-ITA) will join Francisco Sánchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce, at the first-ever Sourcing in the Americas Summit during MAGIC in Las Vegas. From August 21-24, 2011, the Summit will bring together U.S. government officials, U.S. textile and apparel brands and retailers, and manufacturers in the Western Hemisphere to discuss their experiences and opportunities sourcing in the Americas.

The Summit will take place at the MAGIC Americas Pavilion, which is comprised of 75 manufacturers showcasing the textile and apparel supply chain in the region. The Summit will feature a series of events highlighting the diversity of products made in the Western Hemisphere as well as the opportunities created by the Americas supply chain. We invite members of the press to join us at a number of open events, including:

12:00 p.m. Americas Pavilion Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony featuring Under Secretary Sánchez, Americas Pavilion, Las Vegas Convention Center

- Monday, August 22, 2011
10:00 a.m. National Export Initiative and Sourcing in the Americas Seminar, Room S230, Las Vegas Convention Center

This seminar is open to all MAGIC Show participants and includes discussions with lead manufacturers and producers in the region. Join us for this one hour special seminar that highlights the U.S. National Export Initiative and the Western Hemisphere. The speakers include:
