The event will be held at the Expo and Convention Center of Puebla, one of the largest venues in Mexico designed for such great events. Its 25000 sq meters will allow the setting of theme spaces that will host the nearly 650 stands for the exhibitors.

The fashion shows will be an integral part of EXINTEX 2012 and special rooms and lounges will be available for the different conferences that will provide information and training on relevant textile industry issues to attendees.

EXINTEX is a development platform and a terrific business opportunity for the Mexican industry, confirmed Jorge Plata, Chairman of the National Textile Institute. “Since 1991, this event has become the only national expo for presenting products and production processes, as well as the newest trends in design and textile-clothing chain. In addition, it is a place in which technological breakthroughs are presented, those which can boost any enterprise worldwide”, Plata stated.

This edition of the expo, the 18th, has a very specific purpose a breakpoint within the organization itself. Fernando Escalera, Vice-chairman of the National Association of Textile Enterprises mentioned that after 3 years, EXINTEX is re-engineered, exactly when Mexico has improved its positioning in the textile industry. The very competitive prices of national raw materials, the quality in the manufacturing process, the prompt and precise delivery of goods and creativity of the fashion designers have created a chain production of such characteristics that a door to the next stage has been opened.

The Puebla-Tlaxcala region has nearly 400 textiles companies and enterprises, which represents roughly 20% of the total national number of establishments; for that reason, Puebla is the ideal location for hosting EXINTEX. In the pursuit of integrating everybody who works in the textile industrial chain, this event will try to generate new offers for buyers and integrate students , their talents and innovations to the industry.

Juan Gerardo Quintana Moreno, Chairman of the Chamber of Textile Industry, Puebla and Tlaxcala, has pointed out that EXINTEX was born out of the necessity for opening new markets, in addition to the generation and consolidation of the existing ones in the region; he stated that “Puebla and Tlaxcala are textile industry states and their history has been woven with the threads of it”.
