Istanbul's Texbridge 2013 2nd edition from Oct 9

The second edition of the Turkish fabrics and accessories fair ‘Texbridge 2013’ which brings together various textile manufacturers from Europe and the Middle East would be held from October 9 to 11, 2013 in Istanbul.

The bi-annual event is organized by Istanbul Trade Fairs Inc and CNR Holdings, with the support of various textile and apparel associations in Turkey including, Uludag Textile Exporters Association (UTIB), Istanbul Textile and Raw Material Exporters Association (ITKIB), Garment Industry Suppliers Association (KYSD) and Clothing Manufacturers Association of Turkey (TCMA).

In the long run the Texbridge fabric fair would become the world’s largest and most renowned fabric event, Abraham Burkay, President of UTIB, said in a statement.

Around US$ 500 million worth of fabric was exported during the first edition of the Texbridge fabric and accessories fair in March 2013, he added.

Chairman of CNR Holdings, Ceyda Erem said within the framework of the cooperation agreement with KYSD, the Modaks Department would be participating in the fair for the first time.

This year’s Texbridge would be visited by world-renowned branded apparel firms such as Zara, Diesel, Dockers, UCB, Baby Gap, DKNY, Dolce and Gabbana, Li-Fung, as well as Marks and Spencer, she added.

Ms. Erem also announced that 160 apparel companies from the Middle East would be participating in the second edition of the bi-annual fair.

The Texbridge fair brings over 250 selected exhibitors together with more than 10,000 buyers from various countries in the Middle East, Balkans, Europe, Russia and Africa.

The fair, to be held at the CNR Expo Center in Istanbul, would exhibit knitted fabric, woven fabric, denim, artificial leather, accessories and sub-industry products.
