Suominen names Saara Söderberg as VP – Marketing

Ms Saara Söderberg (M. Sc. Tech.) has been appointed Vice President, Marketing & Product Management and as of 1 January 2014 a member of Suominen Leadership Team. Prior her joining in Suominen, Ms Söderberg had held several managerial positions in Pöyry Group, having being located both in Finland and abroad. 
 
Most recently she acted as Director, Global Practice Leader of Pöyry Management Consulting Oy and as a member of Business Group executive committee. MS Söderberg reports to Nina Kopola, President & CEO of Suominen Corporation.
 
Mr Panu Sopanen (M.Sc. Econ.) has been appointed Vice President, Business Control in Suominen Corporation. From the beginning of 2014 he will be accountable for the Business Control function of the new Convenience and Care business areas of Suominen. He has previously worked in various positions in finance and controlling in Ahlstrom Group (in Finland and in Italy) and in Metsä Group. Mr Sopanen will report to the heads of the new business areas; Timo Hiekkaranta and Nina Kopola; and in matrix to CFO Tapio Engström.
 
Ms Virpi Halonen has been appointed Application Service Manager in Suominen Corporation with responsibility of the service delivery and development for applications. Ms Halonen has a long experience in various ICT positions at Ruokakesko Oy, and acted as System Manager, SAP System Development prior she joined Suominen. Virpi Halonen reports to Timo Rautakorpi, Vice President, CIO of Suominen Corporation.
