Khurram Dastagir Khan is Pakistan's new MoS for Textiles

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Khurram Dastagir Khan as Minister of State (MoS) for Commerce and Textiles.
 
Mr. Dastagir Khan was earlier holding the portfolio of MoS for Privatisation from June 23 onwards, which now falls vacant, according to a notification.
 
He was later on given the additional charge of Ministry of Commerce and Textile Industry, through a notification in September, 2013.
 
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself holds the portfolio of Commerce and Textile Ministries.
 
During the 2008-13 Parliament, Khurram Dastgir Khan earned distinction as Chair of the Standing Committee on Commerce and as a member of the Public Accounts Committee. He also served on the Special Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Finance Committee of the National Assembly, Special Committee on Threats to Journalists, and the Standing Committee on National Regulation & Services as well as the Standing Committee on Millennium Development Goals.
 
Mr. Khan was Pakistan co-Chair of the Pakistan-India Parliamentary Dialogue held in New Delhi in August 2012 and he also participated in three previous Indo-Pak Parliamentary Dialogues held in 2011-12.
