PX, PTA & Ethylene prices fall in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1145/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were assessed at US$ 1125/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went dipped and were assessed in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1185/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price inched down to US$ 860/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 880/ton to US$ 885/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 6100/ton to RMB 6150/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices dropped in the range of US$ 1445/ton to US$ 1450/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices fell and were quoted at US$ 1425/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 52.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international market at US$ 1230/ton, while they increased in European domestic market to € 920/ton.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were stable at US$ 915/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 6500/ton to RMB 6550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton, and some deals were offered in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1320/ton, while talked prices were offered between US$ 1290/ton and US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 8400/ton to RMB 8450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1495/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1395/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 8750/ton, while DTY and
FDY prices stayed unchanged at RMB 10900/ton and RMB 9400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY declined to US$ 1190/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1495/ton and US$ 1275/ton, respectively.
