Polyester POY, DTY & FDY prices move up in China

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1200/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton.

PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices rose and were quoted at US$ 905/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices inched up and were offered in the range of RMB 6450/ton to RMB 6500/ton.

Ethylene prices kept unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert at US$ 1395/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in European international and domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.

MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were quoted at US$ 965/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of US$ 945/ton to US$ 950/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 6800/ton to RMB 6850/ton.

In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton, and some deals were quoted in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, while talked prices were assessed between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.

In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8000/ton to RMB 8050/ton.

PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1480/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were quoted in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8750/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices increased and were assessed at RMB 8950/ton, RMB 10925/ton and RMB 9500/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY surged to US$ 1205/ton, US$ 1455/ton, and US$ 1260/ton, respectively.
