PX, PTA & Ethylene prices fall in Southeast Asian market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices dropped and were offered in the range of US$ 1195/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton.
 
PTA prices decreased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 855/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 855/ton to US$ 860/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6100/ton to RMB 6150/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed at US$ 1375/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of 53.00 cents/pound to 53.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1205/ton and € 890/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices surged and were offered at US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept steady in the range of RMB 6675/ton to RMB 6725/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8275/ton to RMB 8325/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1250/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 7900/ton to RMB 7950/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained steady trend in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1405/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1305/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were assessed in the range of RMB 8675/ton to RMB 8725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 8900/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained steady at RMB 10700/ton and RMB 9300/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY declined to US$ 1190/ton, while DTY and FDY prices kept steady at US$ 1435/ton and US$ 1235/ton, respectively.
