PTA & MEG prices decrease in China's domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. PX prices increased in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 970 and 975 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices surged to US$ 950 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 950 to 955 per ton.
 
PTA prices maintained steady trend in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed stable trend in PTA prices which ranged between US$ 750 and 755 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices kept unchanged at US$ 730 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased at a range of US$ 720 to 725 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased to a range of RMB 5475 to 5525 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 1135 and 1140 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1075 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and they ranged between 47.50 to 48.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international and domestic markets at US$ 1115 per ton and € 920 per ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices went down to US$ 855 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased ranging between US$ 820 to 825 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 6320 to 6370 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable ranging between US$ 1130 and 1170 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1140 to 1180 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1150 to 1190 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1160 to 1200 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices stayed steady ranging between RMB 7950 to 8000 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips were stable in the range between US$ 1010 and 1050 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1020 to 1060 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 7325 and 7375 per ton.
 
PSF prices went down in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1185 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices stayed stable at US$ 1085 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady in the range of RMB 8150 to 8200 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady at RMB 8800 per ton, RMB 10650 per ton and RMB 8700 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were stable at US$ 1195 per ton, US$ 1455 per ton and US$ 1165 per ton, respectively.
