European propylene slips last week but keeps steady in US

Propylene prices slipped in Europe in the last week ended August 21 due to weak upstream product prices in the region.

However, due to firm energy prices in the market, average prices were steady in the US last week.

In Europe, average prices fell by € 40/ton or 4.55 per cent and were quoted at € 840/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In US, average prices stayed stable and were quoted at 20 cents/pound in the last week as against its previous week.
