The highest monthly rise was observed in these groups: miscellaneous goods and services (by 0.6%), furnishing (by 0.5%). Prices in the groups health and education remained the same, while lower prices were recorded in these groups: clothing and footwear (by 2.1%), and transport (by 0.1%).
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, in November 2007 the annual inflation rate in the 13 EMU countries was 3.1% (up from 2.6% in October), while in the EU-27 it was 3.1% (up from 2.7% in October). The highest annual inflation rate was recorded in Latvia (13.7%) and the lowest in the Netherlands (1.8%); in Slovenia it stood at 5.8%.
