Overall yarn market shows stability

This Monday, on April 7, the price of PTA stayed in correction, MEG price declined. Prices of semi and bright polyester chips fell, CDP slice price was in temporary consolidation, PET bottle supply appeared tight, price moved sideways.
Prices of acrylic staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm were in consolidation where as CPL, nylon 6 slice price was stable.
Polyester filament market continued to show a sluggish trend. Most prices from spinning manufacturers in Shengze region remained stable, but traders are offering concessions of about 100-200 yuan per ton on actual transactions.
Currently, weaving factories are purchasing raw material according to the production requirement, middle-men are not entering the market and therefore manufacturers are buying and selling at the same time. Chemical fiber spinning manufacturers want to maintain production and sales, thus, they are lowering the prices to increase their sales. Polyester filament market outlook is expected to see larger probability of downward trend.
Overall yarn market was relatively stable, prices saw a very little change; only few individual variety of rayon yarns moved downward. All cotton yarn market looked in steady consolidation, prices were barely steady. The varieties like cotton yarn 32s and J40s had better demand, and therefore saw better sale compared to other items.
Among blended yarn products, prices of polyester and viscose yarn, polyester and cotton yarn remained stable, although trade volume was thin. Polyester yarn market was relatively firm, now polyester yuan 45s has better demand than other spectifctions.
Quotations for rayon yarn series were plain, prices of individual products gradually declined, mainly due to the fall in viscose fiber price.VSF price fell again by 50 yuan per ton on Monday. Rayon yarn maret is expected to continue a downward trend.
