Country eyes Turkmenistan to boost economic cooperation

The Azerbaijani President, Mr Ilham Aliev, in order to further strengthen its trade relations with Turkmenistan, held a meeting with the President Mr Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, on May 19 in Baku. Both the Presidents discussed key areas of cooperation including trade, economy, chemicals, textiles and energy that have ample of scope.
During the conference, they exchanged views on wide range of issues that can benefit both countries in long run that would make them economically strong.
The Ministers of Finance, Foreign Affairs and heads of Chambers of Commerce of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, inked the bilateral trade documents and inter-governmental agreements.
Azerbaijan is interested in carrying out trade with Turkmenistan as both nations have been enjoying good business relations for a long time and have helped each other grow significantly in various sectors.
