No2 PTA plant of KP Chemicals went for 2 week shutdown

KP Chemicals located in Ulsan city in the south-east of South Korea, went for a two week shutdown on June 11, and is expected to resume production by June 25.
Official sources from the KP Chemicals informed Fibre2fashion that squeeze in raw material margins, material balance and maintainance are the main reasons for the shutdown of the plant.
The No 2 PTA plant of the company has a production capacity of 350,000 mt per year. KP Chemicals is a producer and supplier of petrochemical products like PX, PTA. More than 90 percent of the company products are exported throughout the world.
