Picanol to display high-tech weaving machines at ITMA + CITME
Jul '08
Picanol will display six high-tech weaving machines on its stand at ITMA Asia + CITME 2008, which takes place from 27 to 31 July 2008 in the New International Expo Center at Shanghai, China. One Picanol Jacquard rapier weaving machine will be on display at the Stäubli booth.

In the month of May, Picanol launched a campaign challenging Chinese weavers to see for themselves how much they could be saving on energy costs. At ITMA Asia + CITME each weaver who has taken part in the campaign can collect a report with personalized results and energy saving tips.

ITMA Asia – Asian International Exhibition of Textile Machinery – and CITME – China International Textile Machinery Exhibition – are two of the most influential trade shows for the Asian textile industry. The integration of these two well-established exhibitions into one mega show will surely have a unique appeal for both visitors and exhibitors.

Taking off in Shanghai in July 2008, ITMA Asia + CITME is scheduled to take place every two years. It will surely become part of the cycle of worldwide events that includes the four-yearly ITMA shows in Europe, and follows on from the previous ITMA Asia events in Singapore in 2001 and 2005, and the series of 10 CITME shows held in Beijing, most recently in 2006.

It is obvious that Picanol will present all its latest weaving technology at ITMA Asia + CITME 2008.
