It has been reported that 25 textile and clothing enterprises from Yiwu city will participate in the Las Vegas International Clothes and Fabric, Accessories Fair, which will be held from August 24 to 27, 2008.

This is considered to be one of the biggest fairs in the world for textile industry.

Sources inform that since Yiwu is one of the important production bases for socks, shirts as well as seamless underwear industry in China, Las Vegas Fair organizers has permitted Yiwu International Chamber of Commerce to directly apply for exhibition booths.

Only qualified and selected companies are allowed to showcase their products at Las Vegas (LV). Thus, having 25 firms here is one of the greatest achievements for Yiwu.

Enterprises that will participate at this event include Langsha, one of the biggest sock manufacturers in China, and Zhejiang Sanding Weaving Co Ltd.

Analysts say that most buyers from the US depend on such local fair to make their purchases. Besides, Las Vegas Expo is popular among American clothes, fabric as well as accessories clientele, particularly because only proficient manufacturers are present here.

Thus, Yiwu sock, shirts and seamless enterprises will definitely attract attention and bag several orders.

Statistics show that Chinese enterprises have accounted for about 50 percent of the total booths at this show, over past several years. In the 2007, China Mainland companies occupied nearly 500 stalls.
