Statistics show that, China has nearly 15 million couples entering marriage every year with expenses on weddings reaching 30 billion Yuan each year, based on each couple purchasing 2,000 Yuan worth of home textiles, in addition to other clothing and textiles of daily use.

The post-Olympic period has brought in a surge in purchasing of home textiles during weddings. This has led to a mad rush among home textile manufacturers to innovate and deliver the latest in home textiles to the consumer.

Investment in research and development of functional textile products has become a trend in the current worldwide textile industry. Functional textile products, not only meet the demands of daily use, but also provide consumers with guarantee of health, safety, comfort and environmental protection.

Additional features of home textile products like anti-bacterial pillows and towels are being preferred by more and more by newly weds as awareness levels keep increasing about the advantages of the products. People are willing to pay more to secure safety and health.
