According to reliable sources, the ex-factory price of Benzene on Feb 4 was quoted by Guangzhou Marketing Company of Sinopec at Yuan 3,300 per ton, with the other plants of Sinopec like Changling Refinery, Wuhan Petrochemical and Maoming Petrochemical, citing the same prices.
As on Feb 4, the ex-factory price of Benzene for deliveries in February were quoted at 3,200 per ton by the Beijing Sales Company of Sinopec, while the Shanghai branch of Sinopec increased the price by Yuan 150 per ton to Yuan 3,350 per ton.
In the case of Naphtha, Sinopec headquarters raised the ex-factory price for deliveries in February 2009 for deliveries within group companies from Yuan 2330 per ton to Yuan 2370 per ton an increase of Yuan 40 per ton.
The ex-factory price of Tahe branch for supply of Naphtha to chemical companies in eastern parts of China has been increased from Yuan 1830 per ton to Yuan 2170 per ton. These adjusted prices have been made effective from February 1, 2009.
