HYOSUNG has obtained Global Recycled Standard certification for its Recycled nylon and polyester yarns which are marketed under the brand name of MIPAN regen and regen polyester.

The GRS: Global Recycle Standard was introduced by Control Union Certifications to provide validation for claims regarding recycled products for textiles and clothing.

Hyosung, with its commitment to environmental stewardship, is the first synthetic fiber company to fulfill all of the conditions and to obtain the certification. Control Union audited all the related factories of Hyosung, from raw material collecting to spinning and texturing to ensure it the process and resulting products would qualify.

"We are very pleased to add more credibility to our recycled fibers with this 3rd party certification. Now our customer mills and brands can use them with more confidence." Said B.K. Cho, vice president of the Hyosung Corporation.

MIPAN regen is 50% recycled nylon which is made from 100% post consumer materials. It is the first and only recycled nylon filament yarn made from post consumer material for textile applications. RegenTM polyester is 100% recycled polyester made from 100% post consumer materials.
