Enhanced Enkamat TRM to create net-free matrix

Profile Products is pleased to announce that wider Enkamat Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs) are now available. Standard Enkamat TRM rolls are now eight-feet (2.4 m) wide which allows for easier handling and faster installation. The new line also features improved UV resistance for longer life. Two new high-performance TRMs (HP-TRMs), Enkamat R20 and Enkamat R30, are also now available.

The new eight-foot Enkamat TRM has no welds or seams, promoting more rapid installation with fewer overlaps. The improved UV resistance ensures increased durability in arid conditions and/or where vegetative establishment may require multiple growing seasons. Additionally, new Enkamat R20 and R30 are both reinforced with a flexible polyester geogrid to create high modulus, high-strength TRMs for the most demanding applications. However, unlike other HP-TRMs, the new Enkamat R20 and R30 also provide high-performance vegetative establishment.

We believe there is a growing need for cost-effective TRMs and we will continue to see this market grow even more.”

Enkamat is a three-dimensional nylon Turf Reinforcement Mat (TRM) made of polyamide (nylon) filaments thermally fused at their intersections to create a homogeneous, net-free matrix. Ninety-five percent of the matrix is open space which reinforces plant root systems. As the roots grow, they become entwined within the permanent, lofty and open Enkamat matrix, creating an extremely stable cover.

Profile's GreenArmor System combines engineering and agronomic excellence to create the world's most effective Green Engineering alternative. Enkamat is hydraulically infilled with Flexterra FGM (Flexible Growth Medium) to intimately bond soil and seeds while accelerating growth. This unique system protects against elevated levels of hydraulic lift and shear forces while encouraging turf establishment and long-term root reinforcement which grows denser vegetation, faster.
