Buyers for China were dominant followed by those buying for India and Taiwan.
Sales will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, when 40,993 bales are currently rostered for sale. Present estimates for the following two sales are 44,590 and 42,600 bales, respectively; an increase of 7.6% over the three sale period when compared with last year.

The New Zealand Merino Company will offer 1,500 bales in Melbourne next week and 2,000 bales in Week 11.

Sales recommenced in South Africa where 12,262 bales were on offer. The Cape Wools Indicator was up by 15.0% since the last sale against a 0.6% depreciation of the Rand against the US Dollar and a 4.7% depreciation against the Euro.
