During a Rieter Symposium in Coimbatore, Mr. Ellappan Rajavel, factory manager of KKP Textile Ltd., received a golden plate engraved “3 000th RSB in India” from Mr. Jürgen Müller, Product Manager Drawframes, Rieter Ingolstadt GmbH, Germany, for their new RSB-D 221. This double-head autoleveler drawframe, branded as a piece of “marvel engineering” work of Rieter by KKP Textiles, is produced in Rieter´s own factory near Pune, where also Rieter´s new G 312 ring spinning machine is manufactured.

The KKP Group, one of the most renowned yarn manufacturers in India, produces high-quality combed and carded cotton yarns from count range Ne 10 to 40, using 78 000 ring spindles and 1080 rotors. The anniversary machine at KKP is a RSBD 221 double-head autoleveler drawframe with a maximum delivery speed of 2 x 1 100 m/min. Its completely independent machine sides and autoleveling functions are a unique feature in a double-head autoleveler drawframe. Each head therefore delivers exactly the same quality and output that are familiar from the RSB-D 40 single-head drawframe.

KKP Textiles Ltd. uses their one RSB-D 221 for two different processes in two heads; one production head with carded cotton and the other production head for combed cotton. This is only possible due to the two completely independent machine sides, on which different speeds, roller distances and drafts can be set. Even the suction air in the drafting systems is adjustable.

According to KKP Textiles, RSB-D 221 offers 30% higher productivity per head compared to other autoleveler drawframes available locally. They are extremely happy with the quality consistency and user friendliness of this machine. Furthermore, they highly appreciate the savings in space, energy consumption and component compatibility with other RSB and SB drawframes from Rieter. Satisfied with continuous innovations by Rieter, KKP Textiles look forward to meeting their future drawframe requirements with Rieter drawframes.
