Orchard Brands acquires Linen Source

Orchard Brands announced the acquisition of Linen Source, a provider of premium linens and home décor items. Orchard Brands is a collection of companies focused on serving the needs of the underserved 60+ market. Linen Source joins Appleseed's, Bedford Fair, Blair, Coward Shoes, Draper's & Damon's, Gold Violin, Haband, Intimate Appeal, Monterey Bay, Norm Thompson, Old Pueblo Traders, Sahalie, Solutions, Tog Shop, Willow Ridge, and WinterSilks as part of the $1 billion-plus family of direct marketers.

Linen Source, founded in 1943, is a leading brand in the home market, offering a wide variety of household linens and home décor items. The acquisition is consistent with Orchard Brands' ongoing strategy to combine strong brands focused on the 60+ demographic and to expand and leverage the group's shared customer database.

Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
