A Sivas-based jeans denim factory, Le Faxx has discarded its old sandblasting system which causes jeans workers to fall victim to silicosis and silicotuberculosis, and has adapted the use of laser technology which is a foolproof risk-free system.

The company adopted the new technology imported from UK, two months back. The new laser system not only provided protection to the company's workers from occupational diseases, but even boosted the firm's productivity.

With the new system it has become very easy to acquire that worn-out look for denims, than it was with traditional sandblasting system, and has thus helped the firm to double its production.

The sandblasting system discharges small dust particles due to which there are chances of workers developing silicosis and other lung diseases.

The laser system on the other hand has its own ventilation system which absorbs dust particles and does not allow them to spread in the air.

The laser system generates smoke, but its ingeniously designed ventilation system immediately soaks up this smoke so well, that one can't even sense its smell.

Silicosis is the world's most common occupational lung disease, and the workers undertaking the work of jeans sandblasting without proper ventilation or protection, often fall prey to the disease, which is incurable and may prove fatal.
