PX & PTA trends decline, MEG up

Paraxylene market price went down to US$ 1597/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1595/ton and US$ 1605/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1595/ton to US$ 1600/ton. In Chinese market, price was around US$ 1600/ton.

Asian PTA price declined drastically and was assessed in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In F E Asian region, PTA was quoted at US$ 1300/ton. In Indian market, PTA stood around US$ 1305/ton. In Chinese market, price of PTA declined in the range of RMB 10400/ton to RMB 10450/ton.

Ethylene price was stable at US$ 1400/ton in S E Asian market and marked in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1405/ton. F E Asian market price was in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In European international and domestic market, price was stable at US$ 1565/ton and € 1140/ton, respectively. In USA market, ethylene was quoted around 64.25 cents/pound to 64.75 cents/pound.

There was a positive correction in global MEG markets. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1105/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG inclined to around US$ 1105/ton to US$ 1110/ton and in Chinese market, MEG price stood in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8750/ton.

BGPET Chips price remained stable in S E Asian region and was assessed around US$ 1870/ton to US$ 1880/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1875/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13500/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable to firm in the range of US$ 1755/ton to US$ 1765/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1750/ton to US$ 1760/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 13000/ton.
