Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue on textiles & clothing in Sept

The European Commission's Enterprise and Industry Directorate General with the support of the Commission's Europe-Aid Co-operation Office is holding a Euro-Mediterranean conference on research and innovation in textiles and clothing on 6-7 September 2007 in Cairo, Egypt.
It is the second conference organised this year in the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue on textiles and clothing conducted by the Commission since 2004.
It is dedicated to EU and Mediterranean countries, namely textile and clothing small and medium sized enterprises, textile and clothing industrial associations, researchers and research/technical centres or institutes/organisation that facilitate textile enterprises to develop innovative products.
The aim of the conference is to establish co-operation between EU and Mediterranean partner countries in R&D and innovation, especially between the research sector and the industry.
This will be achieved through exchanging information - and hence improving awareness - of the latest research and industrial developments and future innovative efforts and trends in the sector throughout the Euro-Med region, as well as to promote technology transfer within it.
