KAYO of California receives fifth Wal-Mart “Supplier of the Year'' award

KAYO of California has been selected by Wal-Mart Stores Inc as one of its "Suppliers of the Year" for 2005. This is the fifth time KAYO has been recognized with this award.
KAYO also received Wal-Mart's “Supplier Award of Excellence" for the fourth quarter and had previously received the award in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the same year. Including this year's recognition, KAYO has been honored with 18 quarterly awards in the last 9 years.
The KAYO clothing company supplies Wal-Mart with casual women's apparel under the "Faded Glory" and "White Stag" national brands.
Jeffrey Michaels, President and Chief Executive Officer of KAYO, noted that the prestigious award highlights the close partnership that exists between KAYO and Wal-Mart in providing the best quality and service for the consumer.
Michaels said, "We're honored to have our efforts recognized by the worlds' most successful retailer. KAYO has a 25-year history of supplying value to Wal-Mart."
Leon Kurzweil, Marketing Executive for KAYO, has worked closely with Wal-Mart to develop many innovative programs to increase inventory turns and upgrade fashion assortments.
"By monitoring sales per store and developing custom modules for unique demographics, Wal-Mart is experiencing an increase in sales and profits with less inventory," said Kurzweil.
All recipients of the Wal-Mart Supplier of the Year Award have demonstrated exceptional progress and innovation along with a professional attitude. The award is based on pricing, shipping, marketing innovation, customer service and overall product performance.
KAYO of California is a leading clothing manufacturer of missy, petite and plus-size womenswear for national retailers, regional chain stores and specialty retailers. The KAYO brand was established 1968 in Los Angeles.
