Adani Integrated Textile & Apparel Park at Mundra SEZ soon

The Project Approval Committee, Ministry of Textile; Government of India has approved Phase 1 of Integrated Textile and Apparel Park under the Scheme of Integrated Textile Park on 3rd February 2006.

This approval and sanction makes the Rs.40 Crore grant available to the SPV members setting up their operation as per the scheme.

Mundra SEZ Integrated Textile & Apparel Park (MITAP) will be the first Textile Park located in a SEZ under the Scheme for Integrated Textile Park.

Mundra SEZ has its own port, which would facilitate meeting customer deadlines for the proposed units in the Park in addition to reducing cost of transportation.

Further, being located in a SEZ would enable them to reduce their capital and operating costs due to fiscal benefits, in addition to tax benefits available under the SEZ Act to the Units in the Park.

The Scheme for Integrated Textile & Apparel Park permits the SPV to take up the land on lease basis. The infrastructure and common facilities that textile and apparel industry require will be provided on shared basis.

These facilities that would otherwise be costly tend to become cost effective, thanks to the Rs. 40 crores grant provided by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

MITAP will not only be the largest in India, but will have the most integrated offerings of all infrastructure, Utilities, Facilities & Services for businesses as well as the people associated with the Textile & Apparel activities in the Park.
