Carrefour registers good market share thru end March

As a result of decision to divest Korean assets, as announced on 4 April 2006, we have deconsolidated Korea retrospectively from 1st January 2006, and we have adjusted Q1 2005 accordingly as we are required to do under IFRS 5.
Hyparlo has been consolidated as of 1st March 2006, following the closing of the public offer launched on the 10th February. After the closing of the offer, Carrefour owns, directly and indirectly via Hofidis II, 14,788,064 Hyparlo shares, ie 93.9 percent of the capital and at least 96.9 percent of the voting rights.
Carrefour hypermarkets offer a wide range of food and non-food products at very attractive prices; their shelves stock an average of 80,000 items. Floor areas of hypermarkets range from 5,000 sq.m to over 20,000 sq.m, and their catchment areas are very large.
