JDA Software Group Inc announced that Mosaic Fashions, Ltd., the U.K.-based parent company of design-led fashion brands, continues its investment in the JDA Enterprise Planning suite of planning solutions.

Mosaic Fashions, which has used JDA's merchandise planning solutions in some divisions for more than five years, is implementing the solutions across several of its brands that include: Anoushka G, Coast, Karen Millen, Mosaic Intimates, Oasis, Principles, Shoe Studio Group (SSG) and Warehouse. The brands in Mosaic Fashions' portfolio are sold in 2,015 stores throughout 37 countries with a total turnover of £1 billion.

Mosaic Fashions leverages JDA's merchandise planning solutions to synchronize planning metrics, including sales, margins and inventory turns. In an effort to integrate standard IT solutions across all of Mosaic Fashions' brands, the company expanded its investment in merchandise planning applications to support its weekly sales and forecasting functions across the entire organization. The company plans to phase the implementation by brand starting with its Principles, Warehouse and Shoe Studio divisions in 2008.

“Being able to respond and react to current trade is imperative in a fast-moving fashion environment. JDA's merchandise planning solutions allow our merchandising teams to capture up-to-date sales performance and quickly re-forecast to satisfy projected demand. Providing this visibility allows our merchandise teams the ability to maximize sales and successfully manage intake into the business,” said David Mold, head of IT development, Mosaic Fashions, Ltd.

JDA's merchandise planning solutions support and optimize Mosaic Fashions' strategic, financial, assortment and operational planning activities across its consumer-driven value chain. The solutions centralize hierarchical and attribute data and integrate enterprise-wide planning processes to help improve performance by strategizing and executing to the appropriate level of detail.

They help improve planner productivity, reduce inventory investment and shift the focus from data compilation to business-driven analysis, which ultimately may increase sales.

“JDA's merchandise planning solutions were already operating successfully in our existing brands and were the obvious choice to retain consistency of approach and to compliment our strategy for delivering standard IT applications across the organization. Also, our merchandisers found the existing solutions to be flexible and easy to use, which was another key factor in our selection criteria,” explained Mold.

“Delivering group-wide standard solutions across each of our brands will help us to deliver a rapid implementation program that is cost-effective and can be supported by our experienced internal support and development teams.”

Arnaud Decarsin, JDA Software regional vice president, EMEA, said, “To succeed in these intensely competitive times, retailers worldwide need to transform their merchandising and supply chain operations to get more in sync with real-time consumer demand across every channel.

By supporting integrated planning and execution processes propelled by one synchronized view of consumer demand across all channels, JDA's innovative solutions help improve productivity for retailers like Mosaic Fashions by enabling them to rapidly respond to changing market conditions.”
