Advanced technologies in sewn product industry at IT SHOWCASE

The Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA) is pleased to announce that the SPESA EXPO 2010 exhibit halls at the Georgia World Crongress Center in Atlanta, Georgia will be home to one of the most comprehensive displays of information technology and advanced industry solutions ever assembled at the triennial tradeshow and exposition. These exhibits will be located within the new IT SHOWCASE pavilion or within the returning COOL ZONE 2.0 exhibit produced by [TC]2.

Making its debut at SPESA EXPO 2010 is the IT SHOWCASE, a special show-within-a-show exhibit that will include information technology exhibits comprising a wide range of IT and software solutions including computer aided design (CAD), product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), computer aided engineering (CAE), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), shop floor control (SFC), supply chain management (SCM), warehouse management systems (WMS), and more. Among the companies exhibiting in the IT Showcase are Assyst/Bullmer, Checkpoint Systems, Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), GCS Software, Lawson, Methods Workshop, OptiTex, Polygon Software, and TEXbase.

A visitor-favorite at past SPESA EXPO events, [TC]2 returns in 2010 with an all-new COOL ZONE v2.0. This special 6400 square foot exhibit will highlight current and future technologies that support a totally digital supply chain for the fashion industry. In addition to [TC]2 3D body scanning, avatar creation, virtual dressing, and the SizeUSA sizing study, participants include Advanced Innovative Technologies rotary heat transfer for digital printing; American & Efird threads; Carr Textile fabrics; Gerber Technology ContourVision integrated cutting system plus V-Stitcher 3D design software; Human Solutions iSize global fit and size charts plus Vidya by Assyst rapid pattern prototyping; Juki safety stitch and lock stitch sewing machines; Lawson enterprise software solutions; Lectra 3D Shoe and 3D Fit; PAD System PAD Elite digitizing, pattern design, and auto-marker generation; Schmetz sewing needles; TradeCard and Avery Dennison factory floor automation show case; and Tukatech virtual try-on technology.

Participants in the Cool Zone v2.0 will also maintain broader product exhibits in the IT Showcase or elsewhere on the SPESA EXPO show floor.
