VNemart receives support of UNESCAP

VNemart e-commerce floor - Vietnam business portal (www.vnemart.com.vn) was built by the Institute of Information Technology for Business under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in April 2003.
The trading floor operates under the B2B model to support Vietnamese enterprises to do business with the world market, popularising their products and trademarks among foreign partners.
So far, VNemart has expanded its trading commodity groups under the international standard, including 30 major product groups and 400 branch product groups.
Products commonly traded on VNemart floor include computers and electronics, fine handicraft, apparel, agricultural products, footwear, seafood, chemical and plastic, pharmaceutical products, and processed food.
After more than three years of operation, VNemart e-commerce floor now has 8,000 members from 80 countries all over the world, including some nations with large numbers of members such as China, the U.S., Europe, South Korea, Japan and ASEAN.
These members have uploaded more than 5,500 order letters to seek partners, and about 4,000 products shown at 30 major product groups and 400 branch product groups at VNEmart.
The managing board of VNEmart said that member enterprises on this floor can do the following: uploading selling and buying orders, cooperation and investment letters; building their own websites under the form of a show-case which can be regularly updated; seeking products, partners and buying – selling demands in different markets; using value-added services of VNemart such as international popularisation assistance, member confirmation, and assistance to carry out package e-commerce services, and trading support.
