Apparels Tri-Star going strong on garment exports under AGOA

Leading apparel maker and exporter of Uganda Tri-Star has reportedly despatched 144 tons of garments to US.
All this thanks to AGOA and ofcourse, not the least, to the business acumen of the company and its umatched quality that one finds its products on the shelves of world's leading retailer Wal-Mart, USA.
The Monday shipment of 144 tons of garments valued at $1.3million (sh2.3b) to the US was the highest single consignment the company exported in its three years of existance.
Of the total Wal-Mart order alone stood at 96 tons of a variety of garments and clothings.
Besides Wal-Mart, the company is said to have bagged export order from a new US buyer Lolly Togs recently, it is learnt.
