DB Schenker opens refurbished New Jersey fashion warehouse

Integrated logistics service provider DB Schenker has opened its refurbished 80,000 square foot facility in New Jersey, USA, near the fashion district of New York City. The facility will offer various logistics services like garment on hanger racking and storage for up to 300,000 items, inventory management, cross-dock capabilities, customs services, etc.
The facility is also optimised for the growing ecommerce market for luxury products, ensuring quick and cost effective delivery of online orders.
The New Jersey fashion facility will enable Schenker's global clients to continue to benefit from its integrated fashion logistics approach, linking worldwide origins, hubs and in-transit value added services centres with this gateway into the North American market.
“This warehouse will enable our clients to serve all of their global markets more effectively; namely Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, even more effectively," Torben Kock, vice president, global head of vertical markets, consumer and retail, DB Schenker said. (AR)
