Ready-to-wear sector of Adana (Province of Turkey) is in low-spirits as its production has gone down by 40-50 percent.
Because of China threat, high costs of raw materials, instability of supply and demand, the ready-to-wear sector is decreasing in local market and looking for solution in foreign markets.
Manufacturers started production for leading international apparel brands.
Hasan Ayyildiz, President of Adana Clothing Brands Association (AGIMAD) informed that readymade garment sector took important steps even though all difficulties in the sector like low capacity.
In spite of decrease of 50 percent in ready-to-wear sector in Adana, the producers are looking for alternative solutions. As Ayyildiz stated, "Anyhow, the ready-to-wear producers are continuously producing, exporting and employing."
