Twice a year in spring and fall, clothing and non-clothing products will be launched with new collections. In addition to commissioning jails across Europe, HAEFTLING is planning special collections “inspired by jailwear”. These cannot be produced in jails due to the lack of equipment and know-how. Some of the profits are planned to be used to support organizations working to improve prisons or to help the politically persecuted.
What is also new for Europe is a women's jailwear collection. This will be launched with the 2008 fall/winter collection next August.
Social Responsibility With the expansion of the HAEFTLING brand, the company is not only planning to establish an unusual lifestyle market sector, but social responsibility plays a significant role in the brand's core values. By raising awareness of the world behind bars, the company aims to cooperate with international charity and human rights organizations.
According to managing director Ahmad Keyaniyan, these can also include organizations working to prevent imprisonment. Last but not least, HAEFTLING supports the rehabilitation process by providing work to prisons and can perhaps make a difference in the spirit of the Russian writer Dostoyevsky: “The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons.”
Haeftling Jailwear GmbH & Co KG is an extraordinary fashion label. They offer simple, honest ways, depending on their benefits and define their shelf life and not by short-lived fashion trends.
