PLM Boot Camp, first PLM event for the CPG PLM vertical

PLM Boot Camp '09 starts in less then a week. As the first Virtual PLM event the organizers and committee members have designed tips for attendees and prospective registrants.

Prepare to see a “different” PLM
PLM Boot Camp '09 is focused on product lifecycle management (PLM) and has a distinctly vertical concentration – the fashion and consumer products industries. The fashion sector alone counts over 40 software solutions that serve specific PLM needs. Although the methodology of PLM stays the same, when it comes to applying PLM in the fashion and consumer products industries, business cases, adoption strategies, and functionality priorities are likely to be different from industries such as aerospace and automotive.The event sessions have been designed to embrace this vertical focus and give event attendees focused and useful content instead of the typical broad approach.

Benefit of the virtual and on demand event format
This is not like a webinar, with slide shows and broadcast sound. PLM Boot Camp presentations are recorded, edited and transcribed in order to provide attendees with a high quality experience. Although the conference will happen virtually the 8th and 9th of October the event is lifelike: attendees can chat with speakers, exhibitors and other attendees during session breaks.
