Chinese immigrants lend a hand in boosting textiles

Presently, many notable textile enterprises in Italy prefer to hire the cheap Chinese immigrants. Tuscany, the most famous textile city in the country, uses labourers mainly from China.
These workers can work at a stretch for 12 hours a day, with a salary of €3 for each hour, which is just half of the salary earned by local workers in Tuscany. About 4000 clothes factories are currently operating in the region and among the total labour force engaged in these facilities, China labourers are given the lowest wages.
These immigrants are mainly employed for blue collared jobs. These labourers are mostly unskilled and play a significant role in ensuring Italy's competitiveness in the Global fashion market.
