FENIN 2006 grows in exhibitors & visitorship

Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) informed that gathering 625 exhibiters, who showed the novelties in clothes and accessories from 1400 brands, the FENIN – National Winter Fashion Fair – finished last January 27 with a new attendance record and significant business volume.
The event attracted manufacturers from every corner of Brazil and Latin American countries – such as Argentina, Uruguay and Chile – who occupied the Serra Park Exhibit Pavilion in Gramado (RS), for four days.
The total number of storeowners who circulated throughout the fair reached 35.3 thousand, exceeding the 2005 exhibit's 31,164 by 13 percent. Business volume exceeded every expectation, with a growth of 100 percent over last year.
There were buyers from South Africa, Argentina, Bolivia, the United States, France, Holland, China, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal and Uruguay, as well as Brazil.
The event has ABIT's institutional support and also receives exhibitors for the Men's Fashion Show and the Brazil South Lingerie Show.
There was plenty of contentment among the exhibitors due to the good contacts and business deals. “We were very satisfied with the quality of the event as well as the quality of the buyers.
The sales perspectives that opened for the future were very encouraging. FENIN is a successful fair, and the customers look forward to it,” declared Eduardo Faiman, director of the Men's Fashion Show. Customer prospecting was an aspect that received a lot of praise from the manufacturers.
