J. C. Penney declares dividend

The Board of Directors of J. C. Penney Company Inc declared a quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share on the Company's common stock.
The dividend is payable February. 5, 2007, to Company stockholders of record at the close of business on January 10, 2007.
J. C. Penney Corporation Inc, the wholly owned operating subsidiary of J. C. Penney Company Inc, is one of America's largest department store, catalog, and e-commerce retailers, employing approximately 151,000 associates.
As of October 28, 2006, J. C. Penney Corporation Inc operated 1,037 JCPenney department stores throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. JCPenney is the nation's largest catalog merchant of general merchandise.
