Sandwich catwalk at Pure

Sandwich will be presenting an exclusive fashion show at Pure this Sunday 11 February at 5pm, celebrating its Autumn/Winter 07 collection, and their 25-year anniversary.

Priority seating will be made available for existing stockists although everyone is invited to attend. Sandwich customers are also invited to visit the Sandwich stand (D61) to enjoy complimentary champagne and canapés. Sandwich launched 25 years ago with the collaboration of Willem Veldhoven, a textile agent, and Henriette Daniels, a designer.

A joint UK venture was subsequently entered into 18 years ago between James Warren and Willem Veldhoven. As Warrens' previous experience focused on the introduction of European labels to the UK market (In-Wear – Matinique being one of them), the business prospered along a moderate, planned path to reach its present day success.

There are currently 450 accounts in the UK, selling around 500,000 units per year with a turnover of around £10m. The company own freehold properties in Chelsea, London; Gatwick, Sussex and Manchester with plans underway to acquire additional freehold properties in Sussex and Dublin.

Sandwich operates exclusively on a forward order basis and there are 5 collections on offer over the year. The customer base is primarily independent and remains loyal and consistent. Many existing clients bought the collection when it was first offered 18 years ago.
