The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) announced the launch of Made It, a partnership with Marks & Spencer (M&S) and Graduate Fashion Week (GFW). Under the collaboration, M&S and UKFT will sponsor a selection of Graduate Fashion Week winners to encourage them to have their collections manufactured in the country to boost UK manufacturing.

As part of the initiative, UKFT with the backing of M&S and in collaboration with GFW will organise several fashion master classes to be held at five selected universities across UK.

“These master classes will introduce fashion design students to the business of fashion, particularly how to work with UK manufacturers,” UKFT said.

According to the trade body, the winners will be granted access to leading industry insiders who will mentor and guide them as they begin their careers in the fashion industry. (AR)
