Tahera Peeran presents 'New Slang' at Wills Fashion ramp

Tahera Peeran releases her collection for Autumn/Winter season for 2012 at Wills Fashion Week. Tahera's Autumn Winter 2012 collection 'New Slang' is a pairing of opposites- fluidity with structure, masculine with feminine, austerity with quirky. She draws inspiration from 'Squiggle Art', translated into contemporary, edgy Batik and Shibori prints.
Her signature style of feminine architecture is visible as she teams straight lines and rough chic tailoring with relaxed wraps and drapes. 18th century Cravats and neckties were a starting point for the varied bow drapes, visible throughout the collection.
Her colour palette is an eclectic mix of Navy, Teal, Desert Nude, Sage, Lime and Coral in Khadi silk, Dupion, Georgette and Silk Satin.
It is event of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the apex body of fashion designers in the country; the event has come to its standing with the presence of the biggest names in the business.
