Leading watch company, Titan is launching next week a brand of well-designed watches in the high-end segment, priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 35,000, which would also appeal buyers of international brands, said a senior Company Executive.
The Rs 250 crore high-end watch market already flooded with the likes of Rado, Longines, Tissot and Tag Heuer's low-end watches, is growing at the rate of 25 percent each year.
Titan markets Sonata, Fastrack and Titan brand of watches. The Titan range also has Raga (for women), premium Nebula range and the expensive Crown collection.
Tommy Hilfiger brand watches are marketed under a licensing agreement by Titan.
The Titan brand watches are priced up to Rs 8,000.
Nebula watches in solid gold are priced between Rs 12,000 to 60,000.
Crown collections are priced between Rs 3-28 lakh range which are jewellery-based watches, sold through direct marketing and exhibitions only.
Titan is also negotiating with three international brands to market their products under licensing agreements.
One of these international watches termed as fashion brandswill possibly be launched by June, this year.
