VF Corporation appoints Martin Schneider as Global CIO

Casual wear maker VF Corporation announced that Martin Schneider has joined the company as Global Chief Information Officer, a new position.
Schneider, 47, has more than 20 years of experience in information technology. He most recently served as VP of Global Technical & Manufacturing Systems for The Gillette Company in Boston, Mass, where he was responsible for all order-to-cash manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement systems on a global basis.
During his tenure with Gillette, Martin also served as the Director of Eastern Hemisphere Shared Service Center in Germany, and as Chief Information Officer for Duracell.
As Global Chief Information Officer, Schneider will report to George Derhofer, Senior Vice President, Operations for VF Corporation.
"Martin brings substantial consumer goods, SAP, acquisition integration and global experience to VF. As Global Chief Information Officer, he will be responsible for developing strategic and executable plans as we continue to integrate and align technology with our business plan objectives," Derhofer said.
Schneider earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
