Celebs don elite designer pieces at Cannes Film Festival

Fashion lovers from all around the world have greedily sunk their eyes into the vivid display of exclusive sartorial creations sported by their favourite celebs at the ongoing 66th edition of the ultimate French Riviera movie meet Cannes Film Festival.

Other than celebrating international cinema on a global platform, the annual red carpet event also gives the designers a coveted opportunity to dress the silver screen bigwigs in their exquisite matchless ensembles.

The opening day of the festival saw the famous French actress and mistress of ceremonies Audrey Tautou in a frosted mint organza and chiffon silk gown designed by the young French designer Yiqing Yin.

Oscar winning Australian actress and member of the Feature Film Jury, Nicole Kidman, made heads turn in an embroidered off-shoulder Dior gown on the same day of the event.

Beautiful English actress and the epitome of sophisticated fashion Emma Watson turned up at the festival premiere of her yet-to-be-released American movie ‘The Bling Ring’ in a monochrome couture gown, featuring a black embroidered bodice, from Chanel’s Spring 2013 collection.

The event also spotted actress Marion Cotillard in a Vivienne Westwood creation, fashion model Cara Delevingne in a Roberto Cavalli ensemble and American actress Rooney Mara in a Calvin Klein dress.
