Minimalism, with a touch of modernity, was seen in Croatian-born designer Damir Doma’s ultra-feminine runway collection, which was staged on the second day of Paris Fashion Week.

Spiked with geometrical and graphic patterns, the delicate range featured sheer striped skirts, boxy tops, cropped white pants, sleeveless jackets and perforated dresses.

Belgian designer Dries Van Noten showcased a heavy on prints line punched with a cross-cultural feel. Enhanced with ethnic embroidery, the textured crisp poplin, lace and wool pieces included peasant blouses, loose-fit jackets and flat front tops.

Under the guidance of its creative director Marco Zanini, the renowned fashion label Rochas featured a very 1950s-style clothing line. Drawing inspiration from writer Tennessee Williams’ play ‘The Glass Menagerie’, the 41-piece range included full skirts, boxy coats and shimmery floral ensembles in pale peach and turquoise shades.

French fashion label ‘Guy Laroche’ chose to go all futuristic for its latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The science fiction-inspired line showcased silk and high-tech fabric made curvy trench coats, fringe covered shiftdresses and zipper jackets with shattered glass effects.
